When you asked my coworkers what I did at Jobbatical, the answer was usually "Maria owns words".I ran content (blog, case studies, testimonials, copy, email, social media, etc.) and made sure that Jobbatical's voice was worth listening to.

As a copywriter at Jobbatical, my role was never really limited to simply copy. On top of creating compelling copy for amazing job opportunities around the world, I started developing and publishing content on the Jobbatical blog, managing social media, hosting webinars, speaking at events, sending out a biweekly newsletter to an international community of hundreds of thousands, and creating a definitive voice and tone guide for the company.

I joined Jobbatical in the startup's early days as a contractor to help out the sales team with research, as well as copy for everything from sales emails to UI. Over the following months, my distinctive style of writing shaped the voice and tone of Jobbatical across the board, helping the company establish itself as a standout in the international recruitment world.
