I get a buzz out of what I do. One day handling all different positions from designer, art direction, photography producer, illustrator, animator, and concept director. The next day sketching an idea and leading a team to make the project happen. Key projects I have worked on include building the identity for a platform for Rabobank; making the visual identity for a campaign for St Lucas vakschool; designing the concept for a meaningful sustainable platform for Albert Heijn; and as corporate identity manager for UVW, managing all visual aspects and design elements of their corporate projects.Before tackling any design project, I do my research; I connect to the client and try to identify what the target group would like and what would make them excited to see. From there I’ll determine a couple of alternative angles and start sketching, visualising, and designing. I believe I’m good at what I do because I’m lucky to have my hobby as a job and I can use my talent for it; it is my instinct to create. Because I love what I do, and I can place myself in the shoes of the target group, I can come up with a creative solution that will deliver the right message.
