It entails developing reactive insightful pieces to news events, suggesting concepts for policy briefs, migration reports, op-eds or blog posts, research projects as well as drafting key talking points for panel discussions, forums among other avenues of information dissemination. I also provide strategic inputs on a regular basis to programmatic research and policy engagement across all ISS projects that are interlinked to migration and displacement. I work closely with international and regional institutions such as the African Union (AU), International Organisation for Migration (IOM), United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD), and the International Committee for the Red Cross, the diplomatic community as well as different African governments.
