Provided consultancy under the project titled ‘Review and Modifications of Public-Private Partnership Legal and Institutional Framework for PPP Unit, Finance Department, Sindh’ aiming to increase Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in Public Private Partnerships (PPPs) in the province of Sindh.Carried out in-depth analyze in respect of current PPPs Act, rules, regulations, policies, and guidelines governing the PPPs in Sindh and recommended modifications thereof to make them more conducive to attracting FDIs in light of international best practices.Proposed certain steps which may enhance FDI for PPPs in the province including, but not limited, to reforming the regime governing unsolicited proposals, government-to-government transactions, dispute resolution mechanisms, political risk insurance, institutional capacities, gender inclusion, disaster management, ease of doing business, catalyzing infrastructure finance and intellectual property rights enforcement.Provided recommendations on the basis of exhaustive consultations with relevant stakeholders as well as comparing international best practices.
