I graduated with Honours from the Electrical Engineering program at McGill University. During my undergrad I participated in the design and research on glucose meters and other medical instruments with a focus on embedded programming. Held a research assistant position in the Sensor Microsystems Lab at McGill University for more than 2 years where I co-authored two papers on MEMS devices and contibuted to a patent of a MEMS tri-axial accelerometer. I also helped on the characterization of MEMS resonators in the range of few Mega Hz.Currently I am a medical hardware developer for NXTSENS Microsystems Inc. where I develop the electrical hardware and circuit designs of NXTSENS medical implantable device MyoVue. Designs are done adhering to medical standards such as IEC-60601-1 and other strict safety considerations, while focusing on design-for-manufacturing procedures. I also contribute to the choice of the device materials in order to achieve bio-compatibility and patient safety, focusing on prevailing standards such as ISO-10993 and USP Class VI. In addition, I contribute to the mechanical design of the device focusing on usability, manufacturability, and plastic molding cost optimization.
