Main Project as a Project Manager: 20MW/ 20MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) pilot project at 220kV Jhimpir substation for frequency regulation and voltage support in the national grid.Other Projects as a Coordinator:o 500kV Lahore North Substation along with associated Transmission Lineo 500 kV Transmission Line Suki Kinari HPP – Neelum Jehlum Interconnection point – 500 kV Maira Switching Station – 500 kV Islamabad West SubstationResponsibilities:o Leading various virtual and physical teams comprising of members from functional departments of Planning, Design, Asset Management, Asset Development and National Power Control Centre.o Monitoring & controlling of the progress of the project throughout the project life cycle, and making sure there is a strong integration between various functional teams to effectively utilize all sorts of internal and external resources.o Hiring of individual consultants to assist NTDC in selection of an EPC vendor for the pilot project under ADB’s procurement guidelines.o Active participation in procurement e.g. preparation of bidding documents and evaluation of Bids according to the Procurement Guidelines of Asian Development Bank (ADB) to select an EPC vender for installation of BESS project.o Engaging the internees and trainees to document the lessons learnt throughout the project life cycle, and analyzing these lessons periodically to make the processes of project management more efficient.o Coordination, monitoring and control of services provided by consultants to prepare PC-3 (Progress Report), PC-4 (Project Completion Report) which thereby help in closing out the project.o Hiring of Design Review and Construction Supervision Consultancy firm, who supervises the work of EPC vendor.o Coordination with Asian Development Bank (ADB) for arrangement of their approval/ No objection letters (NOL) on issuance of bidding documents, evaluation report and award of contract.

o Plan, schedule and perform biannual & annual testing of primary equipment such as auto-transformers, shunt reactors, instrument transformers, circuit breakers, isolators and surge arrestors, keep record of these test results, interpret these results and identify the defects of the equipment proactively.o Supervise routine maintenance & periodic inspection of the equipment installed at sites in order to maintain smooth operation of the asset with minimum downtime and minimum cost.o Collate data of all faults, defects and failures and present it in progress reports.o Prepare schedules of maintenance, work orders and allocate work to maintenance staff.o Attending and resolving all faults/ emergencies at the substation.o Coordinate and liaise with the Network Operator for smooth operation of the asset.o Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards and health and safety regulations during maintenance activities.o Maintaining and updating the records of all assets installed at the substation including the record of all anomalies, periodic testing of the equipment, technical data of the asset and spare equipment available in the store.o Arrange inter departmental meetings in order to cater to the bottlenecks and various challenges at site, prepare written summaries of these meetings and devise a work plan accordingly.

We design, implement, test and commission the Transmission Lines (220 and 500 KV) on contract basis all over the Pakistan.I was assigned two 220 kV Transmission Line site projects, one is Gharo to Jhimpir and other is Chashma to D.I. Khan.It is a multi-disciplinary project where lectures and practical explanation is given regarding-Survey, bore hole staking, soil investigation,-Foundation and tower types and their drawings-Tower erection-Design and implementation of T/L-Conductor and OPGW pullingMain Achievements and Responsibilities:- Calculating Surface Area of of Suspension, Medium Angle and Heavy Angle towers- Project Management of both projects- Implementation of NESPak approved drawings of Conventional Foundations at Chashma to DI Khan project

I completed one month training as an intern in Transmission, Distribution and Generation Sections which included sessions, practicals and presentations. It also included briefings on Real Time Simulators and on-job training
