• Provide in-person and online reference services to faculty, students, staff and respond to internal and external communication, feedback and queries.• Oversee the library’s operational matters, library opening and closing; scheduling and managing the duties of paraprofessionals in the morning, evening, night and on weekends.• Supervise the daily operations of the circulation department by overseeing the activities workflow, scheduling, productivity, and quality of services provided to patrons.• Conduct and participate in library services and collection evaluation and making recommendations.• Design information literacy and library services marketing and promotion programs and training.• Training and evaluation of paraprofessionals and supporting staff.• Prepare reading list, compile patron recommendations and reading trends.• Coordination with faculty, provision of course material and manage course reserves, cataloging of print courses and uploading of soft copies on LMS.• Conduct faculty, students and staff library orientations.• Design, implementation and Interpretation of library rules and policies.• Represent library in official, public and patron platforms.• Maintain library usage statisticsSystems and User Services:Responsible for managing library systems and IT assets (software and hardware, planning, assessment, upgradation, configuration, allocation, local customization, and backups), making sure library systems and related services are available error-free 24/7.Update and upgrade DSpace based Digital archive.Keep the cataloging, and metadata schemes and frameworks updated (MARC, RDA, Dublin Core, LCSH).Organize and present in-house library staff training for new and upgraded technologies. Multimedia and Audiovisual Section:Responsible for managing library multimedia and audiovisual section.Selection, conversion, and archival of digital contents in different formats, available for circulation.Create and compile audiovisual tutorials.

Assist manager library (systems and user services division), in managing library IT assets related (software and hardware, planning, assessment, upgradation, configuration, allocation and local customizations) making sure library systems and related services are available error free 24/7.Maintenance/troubleshooting of library systems, scanners, printers, RFID system, VTLS Virtua, kiosk, multimedia projectors and coordination with LUMS IT (IST) department.Assist assistant manager (Serials and electronic resources) in managing library multimedia section and services.Compilation of monthly library bulletin (MLB) in print and soft format.Duties at library Front desk/circulation desk (check in, check out, internal and telephonic user quires and assistance in searching required material from different collections and databases).

Assist deputy manager (systems and services & external memberships) managing library IT assets.Troubleshooting of library systems, scanners, printers, VTLS Virtua, multimedia projectors and coordination with LUMS IT (IST) department.Assist assistant manager (Serials and electronic resources) in managing library multimedia section and services.Compilation of monthly library bulletin (MLB) in print and soft format.Management of library Journals, Magazines, Newsletters and indexing of local periodicals.Provision of TOCs and selected articles to faculty (SDI)
