Matthew came to FedEx in 2011 after retiring from a highly successful 21 year career in the US Navy. He began as a Project Manager for the Global Planning and Engineering Department and then took a position that moved him to Revenue Services as the US Remittance Operations Manager, responsible for posting of over $30B in Revenue. He is currently a Customer Experience Senior Manager with 7 managers with teams in Vendor Trace and International Customer Service networks.Prior to FedEx, Matthew's Naval career started in the enlisted ranks, where he received his nuclear power plant training and was assigned to submarine duty in Norfolk, VA. He held several positions which included an assignment as an instructor (1998). As an instructor, he attended classes at Hawaii Pacific University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 2000 with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. After graduation and upon completion of Officer Candidate School in Pensacola, FL, he earned his commission as a Naval Officer (2001). As a Surface Warfare Officer, Matthew was responsible for the operations, maintenance, administration, and training during his tours as Division Officer and Department Head. He received his Master’s Degree in Systems Technology from the US Naval Postgraduate School in 2007. Matthew is married to wife, Stephanie, and they have three children: Ryan, Ian, and Makayla.
