I work as a Ph.D. Candidate & Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at the Netherlands Cancer Institute. I gained my SLP degree (@HU) and my Master's degree in Clinical Health Sciences - Speech-Language and Hearing Sciences (@UU).As a PhD student, I explore functional and physical outcomes after total laryngectomy and the rehabilitation of the swallowing function. As a SLP I diagnose, treat and guide (head- and neck) cancer patients and their loved ones. Besides, in 2021, I founded, together with young professional friends, the website IDDSIdex (www.iddsidex.nl). This website is a user-friendly, free, online database for Dutch foods, drinks, and their corresponding IDDSI levels.
