As a final thesis I have taken on the task of researching the question “how BinQ can create more added value in the present, and possible future value chain for quality coffee, in the Netherlands, in the advent of e-commerce.It is remarkable how complex the coffee value chain is, with a multitude of players, some of which have questionable added value. The value chain is still rather traditional, catering primarily to offline trading. The present Distribution, and Wholesalers show a passive attitude towards the growing number of web hops, and the increasing need for a robust end-to-end e-commerce mechanism.BinQ is an online warehouse, which undertakes the launching of webshops in a variety of markets, attracting visitors to their websites using pull marketing. Next to branded perfumes, and Christmas hampers, BinQ runs a business in branded quality coffee.

During my internship I have conducted research on how the Toine Dorpmans Group should set up their online strategy to improve their online presence, positioning and added value.Toine Dorpmans Group is an independent full service event organisation, which organises high-quality business-to-business events and audiovisual media productions. Events are live communication tools to enhance employee involvement, strengthen relationships with prospects and relationships and boost sales.I have put together a solid online strategy for improved findability in Google which combined with a new website and proper copywriting can significantly expand the company’s target audience online.
