CurrentThe Canada, Americas and Pacific Area (CAPA) of the CWGC covers all of Canada, United States, the Caribbean, Central America, South America and the Falkland Islands, 31 countries in the Canada and Americas Region and another 10 countries in the Pacific Region including China, Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Fiji, Thailand, Singapore, Eastern Russia and Myanmar. We are responsible for caring and maintaining 60,000 war graves in both CWGC and community cemeteries across the Area. In addition, we care for over 66,000 commemorations on 37 memorials, 10 stones of remembrance and 50 crosses of sacrifice. CAPA is based in Ottawa employs approximately 90 Commission colleagues in 8 different countries.In addition, CAPA does a significant amount of contracted Agency work across the Area that is at times equal or greater than our Commission work.
