My journey has taken me across diverse industries such as commercial banking, hospitality, and recruitment, where I've consistently delivered results and exceeded expectations.My career in commercial and branch banking with Standard Chartered was marked by close collaboration with treasury, anti-money laundering, KYC, and corporate functions. I brought my academic achievements, including a Master of Science (MSc) in Money, Banking, and Finance from The University of Birmingham School of Business, to bear on my roles, which included exemplary customer service, KYC, adept stakeholder management, and effective portfolio oversight. These experiences have equipped me with a unique perspective and a proven track record of success.Transitioning to the recruitment sector in 2016, I initially served as a Recruitment Consultant before progressing into client and personnel management roles, leveraging my experience in customer-centric banking roles. Venturing into entrepreneurship in 2018, I ventured into the hospitality sector with Crosses Corner, a pub in Windsor, where I assumed multiple responsibilities, including those of a Designated Premises Supervisor, Restaurant manager, and Bar Manager, until the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a pivot.Returning to Mushawar full-time in 2021, I assumed the role of Manager within the global expansions unit, spearheading initiatives to assist top technology clients from South Asia and the UAE in establishing their presence in the UK market. My responsibilities encompass project and personnel management, rapid problem-solving, immigration facilitation, and discerning talent requirements for UK businesses. Effectively liaising with clients, stakeholders, and global team members, I ensure the seamless execution of projects and achieve desired outcomes.I am now looking for a role in KYC/Anti-money laundering and banking opportunities in and around London.
