As Chief Business Officer at 2cureX, I joined at an early stage to help grow the organization from inception to IPO, with the mission of bringing an innovative cancer diagnostic solution to market. Our pioneering technology individualizes cancer treatment using 3D-microtumors derived from patients’ live cancer cells. My role was multifaceted, overseeing the development of a strong commercial strategy and securing early commitments from leading hospitals and distribution partners through an early experience program to validate the test. Additionally, I implemented a CE IVD quality system and managed regulatory and logistical challenges to enable market entry across regions. My role focused on strategy, stakeholder engagement, commercialization, and investor relations.

Marketing responsibility for the EMEA-region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) molecular diagnostics division at the German Headquarters in Delkenheim. Responsibility for the development of marketing and sales programs for the different EMEA markets, leading a marketing team of 20 employees. My key objective was to secure the growth within Infectious disease testing and cancer diagnostics trough a high contract renewal rate of existing contracts, the introduction of new tests and software upgrades to increase the instrument test volume and win new contracts by capitalizing the pending launch of a next generation platform (Alinity). The EMEA marketing team contributed to 3 consecutive years of growth of 6%, outperforming the diagnostic market growth rate in Europe at 4%, contributing to a total EMEA AMD sales of 210 million € in 2016. To deliver this growth I focused on capitalizing on the increased demand in infectious disease testing, oncology, and personalized medicine and drove initiatives related to market expansion in emerging countries.

In 2014, immunohistochemistry (IHC) business generated around $320 million in revenue at a growth of approximately 8% over 2013. This aligned with overall market trends in cancer diagnostics and the increased demand for biomarker-based testing. The growth was largely driven by expanding applications of IHC in personalized medicine in oncology, and programs for launching of new antibodies and automation solutions for pathology labs in all markets.
