I provide strategic advice and support to the Executive team on matters of public policy while advocating for investment & greater support to grow industry and markets. I work closely with both state and federal governments together with industry associations and chambers of commerce. My role is multifaceted and includes helping shape the strategic vision of the company and identifying business development opportunities.My role works across the entire GFG Alliance conglomerate including SIMEC Energy, SIMEC Mining, and Liberty businesses. Part of my role within SIMEC Energy has been to assist the business pave the way on renewable energy projects such as solar farms, wind farms, rooftop solar, and firming assets.My success is based on enhancing the international competitiveness of GFG Alliance, increasing profitability and identifying opportunities for, and constraints on, future growth.

My role is primarily responsible for increasing the effeciency of the manufacturing facility coupled with delivering great customer service. Specifically I am responsible for sales, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain with full P&L responsibilities. The safety of my team is paramount and as such my role is to create a safe working environment. My ultimate aim is to entrench a culture whereby the team truly believe every injury is preventable. Managing people through changes resulting from mergers, changes in strategy and industrial relations matters are some of the exciting challenges I face. Recognising talent and building people's capabilities is one of the many rewarding elements of my role.

I was responsible for new business development and growth initiatives nationally. The role, through qualitative and quantitative analysis, involved implementing actions to address shifts in product demand, market characteristics, customer demographics and capacity restraints.
