In this position, I learned how to take initiative and how to work independently. Due to the nature of this role, managers were only able to contact me through email/ mobile and there was nobody on site to aid me. As a result, this helped me develop my skills to work efficiently, independently and my customer engagement skills. The role consisted of setting up a stand in a grocery store, hand out samples of the product for the client and actively demonstrate the advantages of the product whilst encouraging customers to purchase said product. Communication with each manager from the many stores I worked in was required in order to decide on the placement of the stand such that a high volume of foot traffic would pass by the stand whilst simultaneously not interfering with the flow of the store. This required methodical and careful planning and execution.

In this customer-facing position, I showed excellent adaptability and versatility throughout the store as I accepted responsibility at different stations, including purchases, merchandising and stock control. I connected with Store Managers daily and engaged with customers to resolve queries or process in-store package collections.

Originally started as a passion project, I connected with individuals from the US, India and Japan to co-found a cryptocurrency company designed to create a genuine environment for buying and selling tokens. To build awareness, I leveraged my networks and utilised marketing techniques to generate hype among communities. As this market was different to financial transactions, I learned about tokenomics to forecast trends and applied mathematics to calculate prices for the currency, boosting ROI. In a short timeframe, 170 investors were bought into the project and, in collaboration with a back-end developer, the currency was finalised, becoming the 1st titano fork token to be sold on crypto.com.
