As the Coordinator for the FOCUS Program, my primary goal is to assist students from underrepresented groups who are interested in pursuing STEM at Carleton College. I do this by providing students with opportunities for research and internships both on and off of Carleton's campus. I assist students in attending conferences to present their work.My other duties involve hiring students and managing the FOCUS work-study positions. I manage the program budget and assist with our yearly grant reporting. I also plan and host multiple social events that help build community between students, faculty, and staff.
