Mo Beler serves as a Senior Managing Director on the NY Capital Markets team at Walker & Dunlop. Mo focuses on sourcing and structuring financing for all commercial real estate asset classes, across the capital stack nationally.Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mo founded the Beler Advisory Group, a nationally focused, boutique, real estate advisory firm offering a variety of commercial real estate capital markets solutions, including joint venture equity placement, investment sales, structured finance solutions, as well as debt capital. Mo is a 15 year veteran with over $6 billion, of direct investing and advisory experience across property sectors. Advisory ExperiencePrior to the founding of the Beler Advisory group, Mo served as the Vice Chairman of New York City Institutional Investment Sales within JLL Capital Markets. While at JLL Mo led the investment sales process overseeing property valuation, marketing, negotiating and new business development. At JLL Mo was directly involved in commercial transactions totaling more than $2 billion.Principal ExperienceMo has more than 15 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and specializes in sourcing, underwriting, negotiating and structuring multi-sector investments across the capital stack. Mo has been recognized as a leader and highly successful principal investor, with a strong understanding of multi risk investing. While on the principal investing side, Mo has been directly involved in commercial transactions totaling more than $4 billion over his career. Prior to joining JLL, Mo was principal and head of investments at Innovo Property Group, where he formulated and implemented investment strategy and sourcing tactics, focusing on opportunistic, value-add and core investments, across property sectors, located in New York. Earlier, he served as a vice president with Rockwood Capital’s acquisitions group. Mo worked as a member of its East Coast Acquisitions team, directing the acquisition of residential, office, retail, hotel and development-related projects in New York and Florida. Mo received a bachelors’ degree in finance and accounting from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business, graduating with High Distinction.
