Mónica (Mo) Darnall has been an educator for 25 years. During that time, she was a dual-language and classroom teacher in grades K–7, ESL Specialist, Instructional Coach, Dual Language Director, and Principal. Her passion for equity has inspired her work in setting up dual-language programs, leading ESL curriculum development, and piloting reading intervention programs. She now works with schools as National Curriculum Consultant with Learning A-Z, a product she has used since 1998 as an educator. She firmly believes every child can learn and sets high expectations. She is passionate about asking why and eliminating barriers. She enjoys celebrating families and their cultures and looks for opportunities to support the whole community of learners. Mo received her BA in Communications with a minor in Spanish from Western Oregon University, her Master of Arts in Teaching from George Fox University in Oregon, and Master of Teaching Administration from Southern Utah University. Her education included full-immersion education programs in Spain and Mexico.
