My role in this activity was mainly managing vendors in local markets and receiving features as per RFP which included creating and executing test cases and identifying flaws on the NSN RAN Software for 3g and QChat functionality. Chile country IP/data infrastructure roll-out and integration with RAN. Mexico 2nd RAN IOT for inter-op between NSN RAN and Huawei Core. Peru drive testing, debug, integration. Identifying flaws on the NSN RAN Software for 3g and QChat functionality. Implemented in the NII Lab the E2E QoS as per data core LLD design and QChat requirements. In this project QoS was captured and configured from UE to QChat application servers, including the microwave path.Executed the R1 Commercial deployment efforts for datacore and datacomm. Vendors managed were Huawei and NSN. Worked on PCRF policy platform, created training and consultancy to the team. 01/2010-01/2012QChat Deployment and Performance MetricsIn this role I worked with the client NII and vendors in architecting the PTT solution that was to be deployed for client market countries. Tasks varied from vendor management and employee training to debugging packet core and RAN software as per Qualcomm guidelines for PTT on W-CDMA. Guided local teams in all phases of installation, drive testing, performance measurement, optimization, interference discovery, troubleshooting, voice quality, and NOC integration. The launch was a success. I am not at liberty to discuss company details further. My role was all encompassing as lead for Qualcomm PTT deployment as per client needs. Tasks ranged from highly technical at the chipset level to UE development and RAN/ Packet core integration, as well as integration with iDEN technology.

QChat System Application Engineer responsible for integrating, commissioning and supporting QUALCOMM's QChat Push to Talk Technology. My duties in this capacity consisted of but were not limited to design, optimization, and performance metrics of a (CDMA EVDO Rev. A) network for a very time sensitive IP based application (PTT, POC). Technologies employed were various vendors RAN infrastructure (Nortel, Lucent, Motorola), Qualcomm CDMA and QChat products. Measuring of RF, backbone network, and handset metrics. Configuration of handsets, QChat network elements, BTS, RNC nodes. End to end performance testing from handset to core. Firmware and chipset level coordination among vendors and client, per client's needs. QXDM, QCAT, test scripting, UNIX, EVDO Rev. A RF metrics. Offering suggestions for a cost effective and optimal solution from vendors' toolbox. Reviewing vendor recommendations and making changes as needed with everyone's consent. Extensive performance measurement from handset to core elements for time delay and KPIs. Providing last line of support to wireless carrier on technical matters and how-to sessions.

Served as consultant to advanced technologies group on various wireless projects in the fields of CDMA 1xRTT, GSM/GPRS, UMTS FDD/TDD, WLAN, and iDen for major carriers in the US. Roles included analysis, design, and vendor recommendation for the carrier’s networks. SMS, MMS, Push to Talk, and billing platform integration for both IP and SS7 environments. Worked on UTOPIA government project for installation of high-speed public safety wireless systems for state of Utah. Made recommendations to carriers on core processes such as Network design, core transport optimization, RAN operations, application based services, and technology strategy. Platforms included Winphoria, Motorola, Nortel, and Ericsson. Worked on market analysis, market entry strategy, ARPU optimization. Participated in RFQs and RFPs to carriers and for carriers. This role was very encompassing in the number of technologies I dealt with.
