I work on the Autism and Development Disorder unit and my role entails supporting patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, toileting, etc. My duties also extend to taking vitals, charting patient records, and I am also crisis-trained to handle emergencies as they arise on the unit.

CARE stands for Children's access to resources and equity and my role is focused developing initiatives designed to address and remediate income and health inequalities within the populations STLP serves. This work involves the identification of families and communities in need as well as the strategic allocation of resources to address the unique and multi-faceted challenges they face.

This lab specializes in the study of cell death mechanisms such as apoptosis and necroptosis as well as the cellular consequnces and pathways associated with them. The lab is also focused on the tumor microenvironment as well as the cell death pathways exploited by cancerous cells to evade the immune sustem. I worked with preschool children in Pittsburgh's underserved communities to help assist teachers by supplementing the educational curriculum. We read books to the children and designed activities that promoted the development of childrens' vocabulary and comprehension as well as socio-emotional learning skills.
