Profile bio

About Mo Stein

I'm an archaeologist who's passionate about science education, academic research, and information accessibility for people of all walks of life. I have 2 years of museum experience, with a focus on researching objects, writing literature and exhibition information, and cataloging materials within a museum database. I also have served as a museum guide and educator. The combination of these skills has fueled my passion for community-centric museums and accessibility, which require intimate knowledge of the exhibits and of the people to whom the museum is presenting information. I also have participated in 2 archaeological excavations in Greece, including an opportunity in the summer of 2023 to work with the Ephorate of Preveza and the Greek Ministry of Culture and Sports to excavate a Roman villa and an early Christian basilica in the ancient city of Nikopolis. The practical application of theoretical concepts is critical in any scientific pursuit; the skills I gained through excavation experience have sharpened my focus on the importance of detail, communication, and honesty in any work I do, scientific or otherwise.I'm a quick learner, with a genuine passion for human connection and scientific rigor. I'm currently hoping to pursue post-graduate education in archaeology and museum studies.
