The MMC serves as the representative body for master students at the medical programs at Uppsala University. Our primary aim is to advocate for the interests of the students and create a community by organizing various events such as sports activities and pub hangouts.

One of the founders of the first Biomedicine Career Fair 2022 at Lund University!The Biomedicine Career Fair is a new student-run event that aim to inspire and introduce students to companies within the life-science industry. Many companies participated, including Leo Pharma, Novo Nordisk, AstraZeneca and Alligator Bioscience.The initiative was introduced together with two other students to raise awareness of alternative career paths for students studying biomedicine-related subjects.

Title: "Exploring gene expression, impact on B cell viability, and pulmonary localization of the B cell activating factor (BAFF)"Scholarship from the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.Research project in the Lung Biology group at Lund University. We aimed to investigate the in vitro impact of BAFF and APRIL on primary human B cell survival in HFL-1 co-culture, and to localize the presence of BAFF in human lung tissue. Furthermore, we wanted to examine the effect of different inflammatory cytokines on the gene expression of BAFF in HFL-1 cells.

Title: ”B cells localize to adventital regions of the human lung and are supported by fibroblasts in vitro”Bachelors thesis at Lund University in the Lung Biology research group. My research project aimed to characterize the distribution of B cells in human lung tissue from healthy individuals and COPD patients, and to investigate whether fibroblasts can support B cells.

The International Mentor Programme at Lund University aims to help international students adjust to the student life in Lund. As a mentor, you function as a support system for the new students and you are responsible for organizing memorable activities.

Responsible for building one of the wagons in the carnival parade of Lundakarnevalen - a carnival organized by over 8000 student volunteers and attended by half a million visitors.

Supplemental Instruction (SI) Leaders are students who organize and implement weekly group study sessions in courses that they have successfully completed, to improve student retention and success.

Title: "The role of AMPK in the regulation of fatty acid synthesis in adipocytes."Scholarship from the Faculty of Medicine, Lund University.Research project in the Protein Phosphorylation group at Lund University. The aim was to characterize the effect of direct AMPK activators on insulin-induced fatty acid synthesis in adipocytes, and to explore different mechanisms used by insulin to induce fatty acid synthesis.
