Specialist Security Operations
CurrentInfrastructure service design and implementation:Ensure all activities undertaken align with agreed service levels and proactively seek ways to improve the provision of services to the wider organisation.Implement and manage relevant security services and security Infrastructure changes to meet operational and delivery needs.Review new system designs and major modifications for security implications prior to implementation.Infrastructure operations and support:Investigate and/or escalate security issues or violations that may affect security.Assist with incident response, cyber security analytic and monitoring.Support the evaluation of various security alerts and ranks as well as provide remediation recommendations according to enterprise risk.Support the administration of security infrastructure and technologies.Install, monitor and report on security infrastructure.Assist in providing oversight and enforcement of security directives, orders, standards, plans and procedures.Monitor security audit and intrusion detection system logs for system and network anomalies.Investigate and/or escalate security violations such as unauthorized access attempts that may affect the network or any other event impacting security.Assist in providing analysis, design and support for all network related security solutions.Assist in performing product evaluations and recommendations for security related products and services.Manage Firewalls, Network IDS/IPSs, VPNs, Internet and Mail gateways.Develop and implement security policies and procedures in collaboration with other business functions.Business and financial management:Collaborate with outsourced security service providers, Security Operations Centre (SOC) and Security Integration Services (SIS).Monitor and report on policy and operational compliance.
