I've spent the last decade working with data and advanced analytics in tech companies and academic research. My passion is understanding and solving important problems. Recently, I've enjoyed working in roles with a lot of ownership across data disciplines.Time series and data on health and sustainability hold a special place in my heart. I defended my PhD research at Karolinska Institutet in early 2021. I spent the later part my PhD making sense of rich biological data sets, with a focus on neural stem cells. When looking to use my experience in analytics and machine learning to find knowledge in new places, I connected with a fertility tracker app. My work there was divided between understanding our product, building habits around self-reporting, and predicting fertility.Now, I lead data work at PeakPath. We promote employee's mental fitness and performance by pairing performance coaching with deep insights from wearable device data.

Phd CandidateKarolinska Institutet Oct 2012 - Jan 2021Solna, SeMy PhD work in the Frisén lab identified and examined resident neural stem cells in the adult spinal cord.Our work has:* Pinpointed the identity of resident neural stem cells in the adult spinal cord* Altered fate of neural stem cells, to produce more nerve insulating oligodendrocytes* Explored functions of resident neural stem cells after spinal cord injuryOther than research, I lectured embryology and stem cell research to medical students, midwives and doctors.Methods I used for my research include genetic lineage tracing of cell populations, single cell *omics, and bioinformatic analyses (such as dimensionality reduction, hierarchical clustering, implemented in R and Python). The latter part of my PhD was mostly spent on analyses of large *omics datasets. Search terms: Stem cells, neuroscience, biostatistics, bioinformatics, machine learning, feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, PCA, UMAP, clustering, R (tidyverse/ggplot2/shiny), Python (numpy/pandas/sklearn).
