- Documenting current production procedures and create Company standards to improve the efficiency of the Production Department. - Identify and implement continuous improvements to the Company’s production processes. - Collaborate with Quality Department to identify and implement ongoing quality improvements. - Maintain knowledge and technical expertise of current production best practices tools and techniques and implement them in a reasonable and responsible manner. - Develop and implement production processes for new products, product enhancements and product changes. Install related fixtures and tooling, as required. - Develop and implement enhanced production testing of products. - Minimize overall production costs while maximizing productivity. - Collect, analyze, summarize and present production and process data, information and trends to management. - Create and maintain accurate and current documentation of tool drawings, design concepts and orders, in accordance with the Product Development and Quality Assurance functions. - Source new equipment and material suppliers as required. - Support process engineering change notice (ECN) and related Material Review Board (MRB) activities, as required. - Assist in the evaluation of returned materials/products. - Review internal operational facility layouts for process improvement. - Estimate staffing requirements, production times, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions. - Support the Quality Management System. - Lead, develop and mentor the Production team.

- Manage process development engineering teams.- Manage manufacturing engineering teams and technicians.- Working with R&D, develop project specific manufacturing timelines and budgets.- Working with quality team, help develop project specific manufacturing quality standards per ISO13485.- Collaborate with production planning and supply chain to receive necessary raw materials according to production schedules.- Manage packaging and warehouse processes and teams.- Develop and manage operations budget- Act as point of contact for contract manufacturing projects.

 Ensures the progress of the production plan to achieve production, delivery and finished goods targets. Liaises with relevant personnel from relevant departments (sales, lab...etc.) for coordination purposes, tackling any problems and escalating issues when necessary. Trains and directs operators to ensure compliance to SOPs (standard operating procedures) and to QHSE & 5S policies and procedures. Works proactively to achieve and improve production and business targets/KPIs in the following key areas: Cost Control, Control of overtime working, Machine throughputs/downtime, Housekeeping, Quality, Losses, Waste, TIAR and HSE.  Liaise with maintenance as per agreed plans and policies & procedures. Ensures shift handovers are managed correctly and any issues or problems of the day are correctly communicated. Ensures personal and operator completion of all production paperwork accurately and in full. Ensures SOPs are relevant for the tasks performed and suggests updating them when needed. Ensures personal and operator compliance with all HSE and PPE instructions. Participates in Management Safety Audits and Risk Assessments. Participates in Accident/Incident investigations. Ensuring relevant HSE&S information is communicated to staff as necessary.

 Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators.  Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors.  Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.  Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. .  Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.  Maintains product and company reputation by complying with local regulations. Keeps equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.  Maintains product and process database by writing computer programs; entering data.  Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians. Maintains professional and technical knowledge. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
