As Director of Electronics Engineering with Vejo, Inc., Michael directs development of the electronic & firmware designs for the Vejo cloud-connected nutrition delivery products and actively leads Vejo R&D, Product Development, Engineering and Contract Manufacturing Teams in Asia, bringing Vejo products to the mass-market, retail consumer.

Michael is the architect of Convergences' patented “Sight Sense Lighting” system and related product designs. During his time with Convergence, Michael was also actively involved with several Standards Body groups including the ZigBee™ Alliance, the IETF “Routing Over Low-power Lossy Networks” (ROLL) and the IEEE 802.15.4e working groups. Teamed with Philips Research Eindhoven, Motorola Solutions Schaumberg and AT&T Shannon Labs, he became instrumental in the adoption of ZigBee™ as the Continua Health Alliance Healthcare Standard for wireless communications.

Upon acquiring Electrocom’s "CSI" dispatch console product line, Michael founded ECOM to provide dispatch console products and engineering services to Law Enforcement and Public Safety agencies throughout the United States and Canada.

Served as the Principle Engineer responsible for the successful integration, test and customer acceptance of all central command and control subsystems as well as the design and acceptance of wireless data subsystems delivered as part of the $150M, Los County Sheriff's Department "Mobile Digital Communication System" (MDCS), as well as more than $50M in contract change orders and $20M in the performance of follow-on maintenance contracts. Today the MDCS fields more than 12,000 portable voice radios and more than 3000 mobile voice and data radios, modems and terminals. Subsequent to the MDCS, Michael performed as Tiger Team Leader and optimizing Electrocom’s flagship MDT870 product manufacturing and quality control processes. He then went on to design, develop and deploy a number of wireless data communication systems and products including Electrocom’s proprietary 9600 Direct Digital Synthesis modulation product line, the first wireless data technology ever to attain and exceed 9600bps data rates.

Developed network reliability and acceptance test software as well as coordinated and performed world-wide implementations of the first-ever global TCP/IP inter-network deployed as part of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) managed, and DARPA funded "Department of Defense Intelligence Information System" (DODIIS) project. Contributed to the integration, test and final acceptance of the Los Angeles Police Department "Emergency Command Control Communication System" (ECCCS). As the first of its kind, the LAPD ECCCS stands today as a pioneering milestone in the development of large-scale wireless data communication systems, having then fielded more than 800 RF data terminals throughout metropolitan Los Angeles. Performed research and development of the world’s first fully functional dual concentric FDDI fiber optic network and then applying this experience to develop early stage system designs as a member of SDC’s Strategic Air Command Intelligence Network (SACINTNET) proposal team.

Developed and implemented practices and procedures as well as oversaw the assembly and operational test to military specification of mini-computer based C4IS&R systems delivered to the United States Air Force "Joint Interoperability Tactical Command and Control System" (JINTACCS) project.
