Shortly after being contracted as an independent consultant during the early startup phase at 5Q Partners, I was brought on as the eight full-time employee. During my tenure at 5Q Partners, I served roles in professional services, leadership services, and solution design. Professional service duties included project management and implementation of virtual private cloud migrations, Office 365 migrations, infrastructure improvements, and the onboarding of new clients. Leadership duties included technology assessments, roadmaps, and strategic budget planning. Solution design duties included preparation of Statements of Work, infrastructure design and architecture, and service delivery.

Act as CIO for multiple clients for this technology solution provider designing, building and maintaining custom technology solutions. Currently transitioning operational responsibilities to partners. Oversee P&L management, reporting, partner communications, in-house accounting, strategic planning, hiring, vendor relations, client management, and product development.Delivered results for 234 total clients during 13 year tenure. Designed and implemented 40+ networks and managed 70+ servers, 500+ client machines, 500+ users, and responsible for 65 ISP cutovers and 15 Office 365 migrations. Lead consultant assisting clients with strategic planning, spending, and technology roadmaps. Designed internal work order ticketing system, capturing $150K in revenue. Formed critical relationships with key vendors and partners. Propelled company to profitability by diversifying the client base, including a key account valued at $520+K.Managed implementation and systems integration of a core building network for a $400M, 34-story, 700,000+ sq. ft. vertical mixed-use development saving $250K in infrastructure costs. Served as IT construction and implementation primary contractor for numerous projects. Facilitated cross-over/integration among multiple security/access control systems and vendors. Designed back-end systems and administrative portals for various CMS, member management and event management systems, training software and digital sign content management and delivery. Implemented five server virtualization projects using technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Acronis, and EqualLogic. Increased annual revenue for a key client by $2.1M as a result of streamlining technology and offsetting technology planning and management tasks. Integral in an internet marketing initiative, doubling sales and increasing traffic three-fold. Defined and implemented a SEO strategy for a $200K relationship, taking the client from the 12th page to a Top 3 spot on all search engines.

Recruited in a concurrent role with Studio 720 to lead technology operations, infrastructure and planning following a successful relationship with this privately owned commercial real estate development, management, and investment company and client, with Pope & Land principals becoming Studio 720 partners. Oversee all IT functions, including information systems, technical support, client-server systems, security, voice and data communications and business continuity, with implementation executed through Studio 720. Drive IT direction working with the CFO and reporting to the President/CEO. Drive decision-making, operational and capital budget planning, policy decisions and strategic planning. Key member of the Planning and Policy Committee and Chair of the Technology Steering Committee. Oversee vendor management and contracts for the corporate office and 14 properties. Design and oversee the security and connectivity of core building networks, automation systems and conference rooms.Led the transition to a virtual server infrastructure with Hyper-V and System Center 2012, achieving a 3-year ROI on capital costs and immediate operations savings. Directed the migration from on-premise Exchange to Office 365 Mid-size to boost functionality and decrease costs. Introduced and implemented a VPN solution, connecting 11 remote sites to headquarters, including a software-based VPN and SSL-VPN connectivity solution for mobile users.

Supporting the internal Software Development Team, gathered requirements and developed software for this Competitive Local Exchange Carrier. Initially wrote scripts for QA and testing, and rapidly advanced to the internal application development team. Designed and implemented the Customer Internet Portal and Sales-Agent Portal, integrating back-end Operation Support System to front-end web interfaces using Java Servlets, JSP and JDBC, Oracle, Apache and Tomcat. Built a Network Status Administration tool to provide real-time updating of network status. Worked in multiple capacities to support business goals, including Project Manager, Design Engineer and Developer.

Assisted in desktop support for Unix and Microsoft operating systems for the Computer Science Department labs at the University of Georgia. Tutored students in software design and development.
