Shortly after being contracted as an independent consultant during the early startup phase at 5Q Partners, I was brought on as the eight full-time employee. During my tenure at 5Q Partners, I served roles in professional services, leadership services, and solution design. Professional service duties included project management and implementation of virtual private cloud migrations, Office 365 migrations, infrastructure improvements, and the onboarding of new clients. Leadership duties included technology assessments, roadmaps, and strategic budget planning. Recruited in a concurrent role with Studio 720 to lead technology operations, infrastructure and planning following a successful relationship with this privately owned commercial real estate development, management, and investment company and client, with Pope & Land principals becoming Studio 720 partners. Oversee all IT functions, including information systems, technical support, client-server systems, security, voice and data communications and business continuity, with implementation executed through Studio 720. Drive IT direction working with the CFO and reporting to the President/CEO. Drive decision-making, operational and capital budget planning, policy decisions and strategic planning. Key member of the Planning and Policy Committee and Chair of the Technology Steering Committee. Oversee vendor management and contracts for the corporate office and 14 properties. Design and oversee the security and connectivity of core building networks, automation systems and conference rooms.Led the transition to a virtual server infrastructure with Hyper-V and System Center 2012, achieving a 3-year ROI on capital costs and immediate operations savings. Directed the migration from on-premise Exchange to Office 365 Mid-size to boost functionality and decrease costs. Introduced and implemented a VPN solution, connecting 11 remote sites to headquarters, including a software-based VPN and SSL-VPN connectivity solution for mobile users.

Supporting the internal Software Development Team, gathered requirements and developed software for this Competitive Local Exchange Carrier. Initially wrote scripts for QA and testing, and rapidly advanced to the internal application development team.
