As a BSc Biomedical Sciences student in my third year, I am deeply fascinated by the concepts and processes within living organisms. Techniques like PCR, Gram staining, working in a lab, and gel analysis captivate me tremendously. PCR allows for the amplification of DNA sequences, enabling researchers to analyze genetic material and detect diseases or mutations. Gram staining differentiates bacteria based on their cell wall composition. Working in a lab environment excites me as it provides hands-on learning and contributes to scientific advancements. Gel analysis separates molecules based on size or charge, providing valuable information for research and development.
