This entailed spending nine months in an incubation space with nine other successful Ignite applicants also beginning their business venture. My venture 'Festhive.com' is a combination of the education received during my four years in University College Cork studying Business Information Systems and the more recent skills acquired when organizing and managing festivals in Ireland and abroad. FestHive.com is an online festival community where performers, organizers and attendees can connect and share online in order to meet in person at events and festivals across the globe.

Taught in a mixed secondary school of students from levels M2(12-13years old) - M6(17-18years old).Duties included:Lesson Planning.Classroom Management.One to One sessions.Assessment planning.

Taught four weekly Information Systems tutorials to students of the Business Information Systems faculty. Tutorial sessions consisted of teaching first and third year students Microsoft Excel 2007. Reporting directly to the lecturers to discuss tutorial material and assist in the preparation of the tutorial exercises was done on a regular basis.

- Systems Analyst:Developed high level reports using IBM's Cognos report studio and People Soft. Created new analytical reports and migrated reports from Brio to a more efficient reporting tool, IBM Cognos. These reports were created using a number of the functions within Cognos report studio. Prior to creating reports in Cognos, the Framework Manger application was used to create various data models and establish database connections which were then incorporated by the Cognos tool in order to produce reports. - Testing:This consisted of creating a test plan for a newly implemented CRM component within the organization. Duties included creating a legible and user friendly test plan for developers and analysts. The test plan was then used for carrying out critical tests on the CRM component.- Technical Role:Using SQL applications such as Toad to maintain operation of various new applications utilized by senior members of varying teams within the IT department.I was also required to teach Cognos report studio to some members of the Analysis team who were newly introduced to the software.
