I'm a technology industry veteran, a civic leader, a dad, and a bread baker.Top 5 Strengths: Futuristic, Positivity, Strategic, Competition, Ideation (Strengths Finder 2.0)---Fresh out of college Mo moved to Madison, Wisconsin to work for Apple in 2007, where he worked with K-12 education leaders across the state to build modern learning environments in schools. Quickly establishing himself as a leader in the Madison community, he was elected to serve three-terms on the Madison Common Council, and later ran for Mayor of Madison. In 2015, he was named among the 25 Most Influential People in Greater Madison by In Business magazine, and named among the 28 Most Influential African Americans in Wisconsin by Madison365.He currently serves as President of the board of directors for Schools Make Madison Advocates, Inc. Mo earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Illinois University, and in 2016 was presented with the university's Outstanding Young Alumnus award. He has continued his education through executive coursework at the UW-Madison School of Business.Mo and his wife, Melissa, have two young children, Hannah and Cyrus. He runs a small sourdough bakery out of his home, called Bread & Justice, with all profits going to charities.
