As a Development Technician I was tasked to maintain laboratory equipment such as, Digital multimeters, various benchtop electronics, mechanical pumps and other lab specific devices. Alongside maintaining I also assisted in troubleshooting equipment for Professors and Lab Instructors.

Under the guidance of Dr. Andrew Joe, I worked with varying materials used for nano fabrication of 2D heterostructure devices. The materials I focused on were single layer graphene and a ferrimagnetic insulator, where the goal was to induce magnetization within graphene for uses in spintronic devices. During this time I learned skills as, Exfoliation, dry transfer, EBL, Sputtering, pattern design for electrodes and device testing using a cryostat with a 14 Tesla magnetic field for characterization.
