Facilities Engineer - Ultrapure Water
Current Diverse operational and project experiences from owning front end and back end ultrapure water systems requiring system troubleshooting, equipment isolation and replacement, and significant ownership of pump health monitoring and maintenance improvements for Intel worldwide. Lead critical first of kind UPW capacity increase project requiring design, P&ID and construction drawing creation, bill of materials review, implementation and integrating into live system. Collaborated with Intel’s onsite wastewater treatment plant and established a first of kind response plan and quality communication contract with UPW to guarantee maximum uptime for UPW customers. Whitepaper writing and presentations to document and drive changes and improvements for Intel. Drove testing of critical equipment in development stage for use in live UPW systems across Intel factories for improved future customer capabilities. Urgently recovered UPW systems during operational emergencies and implemented plans to prevent impact to customers including response to significant pump failures and customer contamination events. Devised emergency plan for major chemical leak requiring full system shutdown, drainage, and startup. Implemented plan to start up the newest UPW system at Ronler Acres without impact to production of live UPW system supplying customers. Identified supply chain gap with critical UPW consumable. Co-lead global Intel emergency response to ensure no impact to Intel’s global manufacturing. Support Control of Hazardous Energy Fatality Prevention team and driving safety improvements including proper lock out tag out usage. Lead preparation for quarterly assessment and customer presentation of UPW quality statistical parameters for pressure, temperature, resistivity, and dissolved gas content.
