I work at Slalom Seattle's Cross-Market Delivery Center, on the Information Management and Analytics team. I was recruited as part of their Cloud Data Academy initiative, where I started building data skills and cloud experience with AWS, later also working on Azure, and Google Cloud projects as well.Vague descriptions of my work are available in the "Projects" section - which can generally be summarized as some frontend, more backend, Python, ETL, and Cloud.

I came up with the idea for enabling the crowd sourcing of edits for arbitrary pages on the Internet, which I named Community Edits.While building Community Edits, I learned web development from scratch, and worked on all aspects of the stack.The frontend was done with Aurelia/TypeScript, communicating to the backend using websockets (deepstream) for realtime activities and GraphQL for other queries. The backend was Python Flask behind nginx, using MongoDB, with each service running in Docker containers to enable scalability.

Working with Professor Matthew E. Taylor.Research in reinforcement learning, multi-agent systems, and transfer learning with applications such as Smart Grid control systems.

Teaching assistant to Seth Long's Spring 2014 CptS 223: Advanced Data Structures course.Held office hours to assist students with coursework, graded homework and projects, and generated course progress reports.

Supporting the Language Learning Resource Center (LLRC) systems, faculty, and lab spaces.Overhauled and maintained learning management system (Moodle), wrote stored procedures for SQL Server 2012 which used Active Directory Service Interfaces, Postgres DB, Windows Server 2012, and IIS 8.0 management. Worked on backup management and recovery for Moodle systems.

Center for Advanced Studies in Adaptive Systems (CASAS) at the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Washington State University (WSU).Routine lab maintenance such as refilling printer toner, paper, filters, batteries. Assisted with infrastructure set up and maintenance; racked servers, pulled networking cables, set up thin clients, soldered electronic components. Assisted research goals by developing support utilities, installing smart homes, and other miscellaneous activities.

Information Systems Group (ISG) Help Desk support for the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) at Washington State University (WSU).Routine lab maintenance such as replacing toner cartridges, stocking paper, and cleaning teaching and computer equipment. Maintained student lab, faculty and EECS research group computers by installing software and replacing failed components. Regular desk support for answering questions, resetting passwords, and general IT support.
