Small Engine EMSThe scope of the work involved understanding the requirements from the system engineer on a particular algorithm and implementing the same in a Matlab environment. The models were tested using a tool called Reactis. The models were later used to generate code using Target Link (TL) and integrated with rest of the application software. The product was verified on the controller on the bench before delivering to the customer. Was responsible for the development and implementation of idle air control algorithm. The control logic was driving a stepper motor. Was also involved in developing some tools specific to the project. Worked closely with system engineers on site in the development of algorithms and software support. Developed a frame work to test each unit in host environment against the model that was developed from the requirement. Test vectors were generated manually or using Reactis. Worked in Delphi technical center in Shanghai for around 7 months and 2 month in Flint,US.

The Executable specifications are developed in the form of Models in Matlab /Simulink /Stateflow models. Once the control algorithms designed / developed for SOFC are validated, then the second phase of the project would be started to generate Autocode from the Executable Specs developed. Fuel cell employs a chemical reaction process to produce electricity with water as by product. Using this technology we can power the electrical/electronic requirements of an automobile.

Power Sliding Door (PSD)The objective of the project was to model the application to control the operation of a power sliding door in Matlab. This would help the System Engineer to visualise the operation of the door. The requirement was in the form of a word document. The entire application was a state based system and was implemented in Stateflow as State Machines. In addition to the application a plant model to complete the loop and a GUI was added to depict the operation of the door movement. The application was autocoded using TargetLink.
