As a student in the Kelley School of Business enrolled in the Business Honors Program, I Majored in Finance and Entrepreneurship & Corporate Innovation. I was highly involved in extra-curricular activities on campus. I served as the Vice President of National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS), the Director of Career fairs for Kelley School Diversity Council (KSDC) and the Vice President of Corporate Relations for International Business Association (IBA). I also helped out students with Finite Math by conducting Sessions on a weekly basis on behalf of the University.In the past I have volunteered with Alternative Break Program (ABP) for a week long trip to Ecuador during Spring 2014 and I also served as the President and peer instructor of my Dorm, Foster International Living Learning Center.

Currently, I am the VP of Corporate Relations for IBA. I reach out to companies from numerous sectors on behalf of the organization to be able to set up events with the companies. The members attend these events thereby augmenting their knowledge base about different businesses and also get to network with these companies. Last semester, we have organized events with BOSCH, Rolls Royce and Deloitte to name a few.In the past I have functioned as the VP of marketing and as the Director of Strategy. As the VP of Marketing, I created posters and social media events for IBA and helped market it on the IU campus thereby increasing the average number of students who attended each event. As the Director of Strategy, I worked towards the long term goals of the organization such as streamlining the process for recruiting new members and enchancing the productivity of the executive board.

I collected data about Reliance and 9 other major players in the Private Sector of Life Insurance Industry in India. I did a broad analysis on the same to produce a report which was seen by the Head of Finance. During my internship, I also found an error in the yearly Public Disclosures of ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

I was elected as the President of Foster International Living Learning Center (FLLC) by over 120 students. I conduct and preside on a weekly basis and help decide and implement changes beneficial to the student community. In the past academic year, I have organized several cultural events including Indian, Chinese, Indonesian, West African, and Mexican. I also planned a trip for 45 students to St. Louis, Missouri for Spring 2013. I also pitched the idea of increasing the activity fee of FLLC from $50 to $100 which would make it equal to any other LLC in the Northwest neighborhood on campus and was successful. Along with the other executive board members, I am making plans to celebrate the 30th Anniversary for FLLC for Fall 2013.I also taught a globalization and internationalism FLLC Q 100 (a 1 credit hour) class to 18 international students during Fall 2013.

As an market research intern, I researched into the various gaming components and its rising demand among teenagers in India. Such components includes high-end gaming mice, keyboards, headsets and graphic cards. I reported to the Marketing Manager who taught me about marketing and aroused my interest in Marketing. During my 8 week internship, I developed a marketing strategy to sell high-end graphic cards based on demographics in the metropolitan cities in India: Mumbai, New Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. Abacus Peripherals struck a deal with Genius and wanted to expand its market share in input devices and external components. So I created a list of possible computer products to import and sell in the Indian market including entry level headsets portable speakers, and graphic tablets. I came up with the idea for the company to sell its products online via Flipkart.com (the Indian equivalent of Amazon.com) which increased sales revenue by just over 4% that month as a result of a new consumer niche created through it.Overall, it was a pleasure to have interned with one of the largest computer peripherals companies in India and it was my first experience in a professional or corporate environment.

I was the Manager of the Students Bank in my High School. The Bank opened everyday regardless of holidays and in fact, was more crowded during holidays and breaks. I managed and monitored over 450 transactions everyday and the Bank issued over $1500 in Cash and Coupons everyday. This job taught me how to manage a group of people very well and effectively. I trained and mentored a group of juniors who would assume my position after I graduated from High School. I maintained Journal and Ledger entries for all 500+ students in the school and was solely responsible for any errors. I also introduced E-banking for the Students Bank to eliminate long queues to save time and also to improve efficiency. It was for the first time in the history of the Bank that there were no errors and work was carried on smoothly.It was a very important experience for me as I provided service to the student community for over 200 hours in my senior year in High School and it also helped me learn how to manage people efficiently and ultimately improved my leadership skills.

I was a student in The Doon School, the most prestigious boarding school in India, for six years. I took part in various sports and extra curricular activities such as swimming, table tennis, badminton, art, music, aero modelling and paper recycling to name a few. I served as the captain of my house First Swimming, Table Tennis and First Aid Team. I was also the Head of the School Students Bank where I managed and supervised a Bank that held out coupons and cash to 500 students on a daily basis.
