I worked as an intern on the Firefox QA team where I was placed as a QA lead for one aspect of the Mozilla Apps (web apps) project.I researched specifications, UI, and functionality behavior to understand the product and be able to begin testing efforts. I tracked progress of work to make sure deadlines were met and testing was done in a timely manner. I wrote an entire suite of test cases from scratch, organized into appropriate categories to be used for testing by the company and volunteers. Also reported, tracked, and verified bugs throughout the testing process.Participated in verifying bugs for Firefox on desktop. Helped in tracking critical Firefox bugs and reproducing them. Participated in meetings to discuss progress of work, explain testing initiatives, and discuss the status of the project as a whole.

I worked as a co-op on the SQLite team where I was involved with writing automation tests for SQLite regression testing and maintaining and updating the existing framework. The framework was written in Java and utilized in-house APIs that allowed the direct controlling of BlackBerry devices from an end user perspective.I was also involved with testing the BlackBerry Playbook browser prior to release where I preformed black-box exploratory, functional, performance, and regression testing to ensure the high quality of the browser.

I worked as a co-op on the SQLite team where I performed regression testing of the SQLite database on various BlackBerry devices.I wrote testing reports to convey the outcome of the testing efforts, created new Wikis to share acquired knowledge with other employees or new hires, and worked effectively with developers to debug any issues found.I was involved with tracking a high priority device crash bug that was related to SQLite with very little information to begin with. With the help of developers, we were able to track down the issue and consistently reproduce it. I created a set of test cases to be used as part of the regression testing suite and followed through on testing fixes until the issue was completely resolved.

I performed black-box exploratory, regression, functional, and GUI testing of a control room software application.I also performed automation testing and was involved with writing automation tests using a commercial application called Test Complete and VBScript.I was able to find a large amount of bugs in the software application and was able to positively contribute to the quality of the product overall. I worked effectively with managers, developers and other testers throughout the software development life-cycle.
