Through hands-on experience, I learned the intricate dynamics of intra-corporate relationships, including business agreement formalization, remediation strategies, and formal proposals, as well as the industry jargon surrounding that line of work. My role involved leading a cross-functional task force to remediate a mission-critical project, preventing potential derailment. I collaborated with a strategic consulting firm to develop and execute a comprehensive remediation plan. Successfully preserving a vital partnership with one of TripAdvisor's primary consulting firms, I collaborated closely with key account stakeholders, providing strategic guidance to align interests between TripAdvisor and the consulting firm.As a Senior IC, I dedicated significant effort to understand and integrate within TripAdvisor's complex infrastructure, spanning legacy and recent codebases. I led by example, actively engaging in code reviews and fostering a culture of collaboration and improvement within the development team. I excelled in full-stack development, contributing to a variety of projects across the stack, including Python scripts, server-driven experiments, and bug fixes, meeting the team's needs effectively. My experience at TripAdvisor confirmed my passion for working with people and fostering relationships between stakeholders to drive towards a bigger objective. It was a journey filled with challenges and rewards, but it reaffirmed my commitment to working collaboratively and strategically to achieve remarkable outcomes. Show less

My time at LG was defined by leading the BlueSky project, a monumental endeavor to modernize and optimize LG's global web platforms. This project involved coordinating three diverse teams from around the world - a Ukrainian backend team, a primarily Indian frontend team, and an external design agency based partially on the West Coast. This also doesn't account for LG's many stakeholders including teams based Korea and the US. My role demanded meticulous documentation and coordination, and we faced significant challenges, including a cyber attack that affected LG's operations as well as a war event breaking out and affecting our Backend Team. Nevertheless, we persevered, and BlueSky successfully transformed LG.com, the online store that impacts LG users worldwide. Looking back, I don't know how I did it. The work consumed me and those around me. I worked around the clock and had little sleep to keep up with the varying timezones and shifting variables. This by no means takes from the fact that the completion of this project was a team effort and involved the same commitment from key stakeholders - everyone accounted for we made up a team of over 40 engineers. This journey reinforced the importance of global teamwork, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence even in the face of adversity. Collaborating with a dynamic team, we identified weak points in our development process and optimized our applications for better performance and long-term maintenance. I introduced automation by implementing Jest for automated testing and SauceLabs for integration testing, streamlining our development pipeline and ensuring top-notch quality. I also got a change to explore data visualization options, as the project required it. I explored the D3 library, creating engaging interactive visualizations that enhanced user experiences. ( Looking back, using charts.js was probably the better bet)I also played a key role in introducing React Themr and an extensive internal theming SCSS library for a consistent look and feel. My versatility extended to backend development, where I supported the team with Spring Boot services. These experiences at Cigna expanded my skills and deepened my understanding of software development, and I'm excited to embark on new challenges in the ever-evolving technology landscape. Show less
