The Cosmic Dome is an events’ company offering variety of services. We organize astronomy events in educational institution using our planetariums. We use 360° projection systems to immerse in a full-dome experience. We also build, sell, and rent customized domes of any size and for any purpose. Our domes can be used in weddings, festivals, chalets, classrooms, green houses, restaurants, and for any other purpose. The Cosmic Dome has expanded to have its own branches in Lebanon, UAE, Kuwait, and Jordan.

My research aims at studying variable stars and finding their distances in order to use them as standard candles to better understand the formation history of the Milky Way. Intensive research for RR Lyrae stars in the halo of the Milky Way resulted in classifying 6,000 new RR Lyrae stars. The data used were extracted from large sky surveys such as Pan-STARRS, SDSS, and Catalina Sky Survey. I also work on developing more efficient data mining techniques and statistical methods to better classify variable stars.

My student has successfully submitted and defended his thesis which focused on the different star populations and their ages in the Galaxy. I also teach the “Variable Phenomena in Astrophysics” course given to Masters students on a part-time basis. The latter course focuses on the physical and chemical composition of pulsating stars.
