The Project comprises construction of 170 m high Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam with 990 m crest length, lateral gated spillway, three Penstock through the dam body, outdoor powerhouse with 8 Francis turbines, two middle level outlets on the dam body, 400 kV Switchyard, and 400 kV double circuit transmission line from Gibe III Hydropower Plant to Koysha Switchyard. During my employment with SMEC, I worked as Social Development Specialist at Malawi on a Project involving Development of Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCA). The Project involves construction of 405 kilometers of 400KV overhead power transmission line and construction of five associated Substations.Activities performed on this Project include:• Planned, organized and coordinated all field activities and made logistic arrangements.• Identified and facilitated training• Worked closely with Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) teams on the scope and progress of all project activities• Discussed and identified relocation sites• Negotiated and provided replacement houses for those who loose residential structures• Established an eligibility criteria and entitlements.• Conducted community consultation.• Developed detailed Resettlement Action Plan and Livelihood Restoration Plan (RAP & LRP) based on the IFC performance standards.The other key Project I contributed to involves development of Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for Ribb Irrigation and Drainage Project. The project involves construction of the Ribb Dam which creates a reservoir of 10,000 hectare and impacts over 1,000 households. Ribb dam is an earth fill dam with dam height of 45 meters. The Project has a total of 1,420 km long – The World Bank Financed Project.Activities performed include:• Developed field data collection strategy and technical tools.• Gathered, collated and analyzed baseline data and information.• Established an eligibility criteria and entitlements.• Conducted a census of the affected persons.• Evaluated and prepared an inventory of the affected properties.• Collaborated with stakeholders to determine effective livelihood restoration mechanisms.• Developed and submitted detailed Resettlement Action Plan and Livelihood Restoration Plan (RAP & LRP) according to the World Bank Safeguard Policies.

Construction management of Genale (GD3) Hydropower Project: Genale hydropower Project involves 113 m high concrete faced rockfill dam. with installed capacity of 254MW impounding 9,800 hectares of reservoir area and displacing more than 4,000 households.2. Construction Management of Tekeze Hydropower Project: Tekeze Hydropower Project involves construction of 188m high double curvature concrete arch dam, underground powerhouse, 230-kV substation and 105-km-long, 230-kV double-circuit transmission line.
