Service to my community is in my blood. Throughout my life, I’ve served my neighbors through scouting and church, civic and alumni associations, first aid training and social media. And, for 27 years, I served our nation in the U.S. Army. I have served in many leadership roles with titles and achieved significant success. I’ve also just rolled up my sleeves to help a neighbor, a fellow veteran, a sister in business. I was challenged once to select a textile that represented my personal brand; I selected a dish towel. A nice red one, but not anything fancy. I know I won’t have all the answers, and I won’t get everything right, but I will be there for my family, my friends, my communities. "You wash; I'll dry."
