I have been the leading member of the Utah Nano Energy Research Group where I conducted theoretical and experimental studies on heat transfer/thermal analysis of different systems ranging from nanoscale to macroscales. I have performed theoretical simulations on thermal analysis and heat transfer in nanoscale structures. In addition, I have designed and developed a comprehensive experimental setup for testing and measurement of nanoscale heat transfer in near-field regime between different structures. I have also designed and fabricated semiconductor samples to be used for energy conversion applications in Utah Nanofab cleanroom and performed experimental measurements using those samples. I have great experience in micro/nanofabrication processes including: mask design, lithography, wet bench, RIE and DRIE, sputtering and ALD, and packaging. I have been mentoring undergraduate and new graduate researchers to ensure productivity of our Utah Nano Energy Group. Technical writings and presentations have been also a necessary part of my duties as the leader of the lab.
