I started my career as a broadcasting journalist for Yfm and then, subsequently worked myself through all media formats including Television (SABC), Radio (SAFM), Print (The Messenger) and Digital (Social Media Marketing). In the media industry, I worked as writer, content producer, field journalist and news editor. Writing and editing taught me how to be meticulous when it comes to paying attention to detail and seeing things that would be undetectable under the normal eye. Not only was I a field journalist but my major in English allowed me to also write and produced the content I was reporting. Thus reading, writing, copywriting and editing became an integral strength of mine. Because of this I believe that my communication skills surpass the ordinary and allow me a very strong command of language, both written and spoken.With the imminent Digital migration approaching, I decided to change career paths and studied a marketing Diploma, I have excelled in advanced digital marketing with a year average of 98% and I am very passionate about keeping a close eye on demographics and its relation to brands within the marketing arena. Practically I have begun to undertake project management and event co-ordination, this including promotions, brand activation's and awareness campaigns. I. My marketing style is very focused on content, research, strategy and social media marketing. I believe that I would be a formidable member of any team, I am extremely confident, quick on my feet and quicker on my head, I would consider myself very solution driven and innovative with an enthusiastic need to communicate and engage.
