As an Environmental Engineer and Researcher with nine years of experience, my work spans across Anaerobic Digestion, Water and Wastewater Treatment, Municipal Design, and Life Cycle Assessment. My PhD from the University of Ottawa allowed me to lead a significant project for CH Four Biogas, focusing on a new method for ammonia removal from high-nitrogen feedstocks, improving their use in biogas production.My goal is to work with teams to develop more efficient and practical solutions to meet the critical demands for water, energy, food, and other resources. My varied experience in environmental engineering enhances my ability to offer effective solutions to clients and stakeholders.I'm on the lookout for a new role in design or innovation and development in fields including clean energy and biogas, life cycle assessment, solid waste management, and municipal engineering. My various background in industrial projects and in-depth knowledge in these fields ensures I can have effective contribution to projects needing these specializations.Key Achievements:- Leading the R&D Department at CHFour Biogas with a focus on biogas systems and wastewater treatment design.- Managing and mentoring a team of 5 engineers, in addition to leading the COOP program.- Directing grant proposal efforts, securing over CAD$485K and managing projects worth more than $2.0 Million.- Key player in starting the first Biogas Reactor project in the Middle East with Al Rawabi Dairy Farm.- Gained two years of experience in Wet Utilities Design including water supply (potable water, irrigation, and firefighting) and collection (wastewater and stormwater) using Civil 3D, WaterCad, and SewerGems. Contributed to over 7 urban development projects in the UAE, including significant ones like Royal Pearl and Mohammad Bin Rashid City District 1 - Phase 3 and Al Zahia Project.- Skilled in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Carbon-intensity (CI) scoring using OpenLCA software, in line with Clean Fuel Regulations (CFR). Proficient in OpenLCA, GaBi Thinkstep, and SimaPro.- Working towards Canadian and US patents for my doctoral research, in collaboration with CHFour Biogas and the University of Ottawa.- Authored over 10 journal articles and presented at more than 6 international conferences, focusing on solid waste management, water/wastewater treatment, and stormwater management.
