Mohammad Fattahi is an Undergraduate Research and Teaching Assistant in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at K. N. Toosi University of Technology.He has always been deeply intrigued by the ways in which big data analysis can be harnessed to enhance transportation systems and ensure traffic safety. The interplay between data-driven insights and transportation challenges has captivated his attention, motivating him to delve into the world of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). Mohammad's aspiration is to leverage his passion for data and machine learning to foster safer and more efficient mobility solutions, optimize traffic management, and promote innovative transportation technologies. By pursuing a career in transportation engineering, he aims to contribute to the advancement of smart mobility systems while fostering an environment where technology and safety converge seamlessly.Mohammad's expertise is deeply rooted in big data analysis, with a particular focus on smart mobility systems, traffic safety, and the development of machine learning models tailored to address transportation-related challenges. His hands-on experience includes the analysis of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) data and crash outcomes, enabling him to translate complex data into actionable insights.His research areas of interest are, but are not limited to:• Human Factors (i.e., Driver Attention and Safety, Advanced Driver Assistant Systems (ADAS))• Transportation Equity and Justice• Traffic Safety and Crash Analysis• Shared and Automated Mobility System Modeling and Simulation• Transport Policy.• Travel Behavior AnalysisTeaching is his lifelong passion, and he has been involved in many teaching experiences since graduating from high school, including teaching Fundamental and Advanced Programming courses (C++ and Python) in university TA classes.He likes solving problems and coming up with creative solutions and it has always been his belief that "where there is a will there is a way". He enjoys challenges and taking risks as long as he can manage the patience to work with a diverse group of people in a dynamic environment.
