The position provided me with an overall view of the traditional telecom organization and the opportunity to manage multifaceted operations in coordination with multiple operators, clients and stake holders. My major responsibilities included:► Facilitate, supervise and coordinate the delivery of all physical resources required for the existing and newly created projects in Lebanon and international operations ► Insuring QoS by monitoring the running traffic and following it up with the NOC manager ► Assessing existing and newly created projects’ technical requirements and ensure all resources are delivered in an efficient and timely manner ► Communicating directly with the equipment’ vendors to gather the required quotations and offers for the needed equipment ► Identifying and responding to faults on EXXON Telecom's systems and networks, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, handling escalation through to resolution ► Ensuring that the proper deployment, installation and configuration of the equipment are achieved ► Providing plans on corporate and operations data backup policies both locally and remotely ► Applying direct interconnections with operators by implementing IP/TDM equipment and coordinating with all concerned parties (Genband, Dialogic, VoipSwitch, and others) ► Responsible for Data Centers implementation (TDM and VoIP direct interconnections)► Setting up training sessions for new team members and assigning research missions about the latest technologies and advancements in the related fields of interest for presentation to the team► Managing sales and technical departments for Exxon retail operations worldwide ► Managing IT department (Active directory, maintenance, web development, mobile applications development, mail server, etc)

Duties and responsibilities included:► Managing and maintaining the MHD Telecom’s Monitoring and Reporting Systems (these report on the status and performance of MHD Telecom's networks, ISP services and facilities) ► Provisioning (IP assignment, core network configuration, monitoring and graphing for co-location) ► Maintenance of the technical documentation (for NOC) of processes and procedures used ► Provide leadership, technical expertise and management to 1st line NOC team ► Develop, implement and maintain documentation enforcing support policies and procedures ► Management and maintenance of all user related NOC infrastructure and tools ► Ensuring that trouble tickets are properly viewed, identified, assigned and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed standards and procedures ► Development of knowledge and skills in network and system administration, particularly with regard to MHD Telecom’s own architecture and platforms

This was my first experience working with a global telecommunications company, which paved the way for my career growth as a Telecom/Network engineer. Here are some of the things I was responsible for:► Provide on-call and email support for our retail and wholesale customers and follow up on customer’s complaints ► Troubleshoot customer’s trouble tickets related to Xplorium broadband telephony, callback, and calling cards services ► Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostics and resolve technical problems ► Responsible of provisioning, configuring and installing VoIP products such as ATA, IP Phones, Soft phones, FXO and FXS gateways ► Accountable for setup, configuring and monitoring the VoIP and telephony platforms such as Sysmaster SM7000, PortaOne PortaSIP and PortaBilling, Voipswitch, Asterisk, AddPac Gateways, and others ► Monitoring Xplorium voice network servers, gateways and components using several network monitoring tools such as Solarwinds Orion, What’s up, local access to servers for service and application monitoring. ► Reporting and escalation of network problems and documenting the appropriate action procedure ► Performing routes quality tests, troubleshooting calls and routes failures and reporting to carriers► Configuring and administering AddPac call manager and Cisco Call manager (CUCM 7)► Creating voice VPN interconnections to multiple remote sites► Liaising with clients in order to identify their needs ► Offering customer training ► Offering feedback on future product development, features, and functions
