During the internship, I will start with an introduction to cybersecurity, focusing on governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). I will learn about cyber threat management and policy development. Moving forward, I will dive into ISO 27001 standards and GDPR compliance, gaining insights into business cybersecurity checklists and best practices.The program will also cover PCI-DSS requirements and security audits, providing me with a deep understanding of these critical areas. I will explore risk assessment techniques and develop effective cybersecurity awareness programs. The engineering aspect will involve planning and designing secure network infrastructures, along with implementing robust network configurations.I will gain hands-on experience in setting up and managing domain controllers, as well as managing Active Directory and implementing security policies. Additionally, I will configure and manage firewalls, and set up and monitor intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).As the program progresses, I will conduct thorough security assessments and explore advanced topics such as network segmentation and secure remote access solutions. The focus will also be on utilizing SOC tools and technologies, including SIEM, log management, and threat intelligence platforms.Towards the end of the internship, I will enhance network security measures and continuous monitoring. I will also be involved in setting up SOC infrastructure, configuring tools and systems, and integrating comprehensive security solutions. The final weeks will be dedicated to conducting penetration tests, reviewing SOC performance, and implementing a practical capstone project.
