My international student journey started in the heart of Silicon Valley in Cupertino, CA, where at just 16 years old, I enrolled in De Anza community college 8,000 miles away from home. It was there, surrounded by some of the world's top tech companies, that I discovered my passion for data and technology. However, I quickly realized that my interest lay not in coding and software development, but in information systems implementation and security.Eager to pursue this newfound passion, I made my way to Southern California to pursue a degree in Information Systems at an institute that prioritized hands-on learning. This learning style resonated with me, and after earning my undergraduate degree from Cal Poly Pomona, I was excited to take my education even further. I enrolled in a Master of Science in Information Systems program, where I continued to challenge myself and compete in numerous capture-the-flag cyber security competitions.During my time at Cal Poly, I also had the opportunity to gain practical experience as a student assistant to the HR department (EODA). In this role, I learned how to use a content management system to update and recreate the HR website and honed my system implementation and customer service skills.As a skilled information system professional with a passion for security, I am eager to bring my expertise and drive to a new role. I am excited to leverage my skills and experience to make a meaningful contribution to an organization and to continue learning and growing as a professional in the field.
