I am a forward thinker and development worker with more than 10 years of experience in agriculture, livestock and livestock product value chains, horticulture, agronomy, refugees’ livelihoods, microfinance and rural economic development programs. Practical experience in managing, implementing and providing technical input the implementation of donor funded projects (USAID, DFID, Norwegian Church Aid (NCA), Finish Church Aid(FCA), UNHCR,WFP, Islamic Relief UK and German BMZ) in East Africa (Somaliland and Ethiopia) , specializing in facilitative market systems development for accelerated livelihoods improvement of agricultural and livestock producers communities. Focusing on development of the competitiveness of extensive and intensive livestock and agricultural value chains and market systems and integrating access to finance, enabling business environment, policy and institutional reform, natural resource management and enhanced marketing for comprehensive rural economic development.
