Constructing new wastewater lift stations and connection to treatment plants (WWTP) within the scope of Fayoum Wastewater Expansion Program (FWWEP), funded by European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).First project is Ibshway Sewer Network, Project involves construction of 9 pumping stations and construction of 35.3 km of sewerage network and 14.7 km force main to connect the served villages to Ibshway WWTP. The second project involves construction of three pumping stations (one pumping station at each village) and construction of 7.6 km of network line to connect the served villages to the new Al-Lahoun WWTP.Al Edwah Sewer Network is the third Project, involves construction of three pumping stations and construction of 31.19 km of network line to connect the served villages to Al Edwah WWTP.All as a part of Fayoum Wastewater Expansion Program (FWWEP). Aim of the projects that the pumping stations will pump the sewage through HDPE forced main lines to connect the served villages to WWTP.With development of the new plant, the treatment efficiencies set out by national legislation, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and EU Directives are planned to be achieved.STANTEC – SUEZ – EGEC - ERCC Consortium (Consultant) for the benefit of Holding Company for Water and Wastewater (HCWW) is managing the project, giving support and following strict quality management plans and OSHA safety regulations.The scope of work for these Contracts includes the engineering and construction of lift stations, sewage networks with the related manholes and house connection chambers, forced main lines, valve chambers, waterway, and road crossings and construction of pumping stations. The FIDIC applied contract includes supply and installations of all electromechanical (MEP) equipment.As a result of the program, water quality will be increased significantly and comply with the Egyptian Law 48 and EU Urban Wastewater treatment Directive efficiencies.
