I have had the privilege of working on a 1500 HP Rig 75 in Egypt and a new 2000 HP Rig 78 manufactured in 2023 by an Egyptian - Chinese cooperation with the latest technologies for drilling rigs.As an Assistant Electrical Engineer on an oil drilling rig, my primary responsibilities included assisting the Senior Electrician with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the electrical systems on the rig. My duties involved setting up power supply systems, operating and maintaining electrical equipment, and performing regular inspections to ensure proper functionality and safety. I was also responsible for identifying potential hazards and ensuring that all work was carried out in accordance with industry safety procedures. My role required technical proficiency, physical stamina, and a strong focus on safety protocols and procedures..
